How to Report
In-app reporting
The quickest way to report is directly within the app. On any profile or in any conversation, look for the report option (usually accessible via the menu icon). Select the reason for your report and provide as much detail as you can.
Email us directly
If you prefer to report via email, or if the situation requires more detail, send your report to info@equal.love. Please include:
- • The username or profile of the person you are reporting
- • A description of what happened
- • Screenshots or other evidence, if available
- • Dates and times of the incidents
Block the user
While we investigate, we recommend blocking the user for your immediate safety. Blocked users cannot see your profile, message you, or interact with you.
What Happens After You Report
We review every report
Every report is reviewed by a member of our team. We do not use automated systems alone to make decisions about reports — a real person evaluates the situation.
We take action
Based on our investigation, we may take one or more of the following actions:
- • Issue a formal warning to the reported user
- • Temporarily suspend the reported user's account
- • Permanently ban the reported user from Equal Love
- • Remove offending content
- • Report to law enforcement if criminal behaviour is involved
Your identity is protected
Reports are confidential. The person you report will not know who reported them. We will never share your identity with the reported user.
We follow up
We aim to acknowledge your report within 24 hours and resolve most cases within 72 hours. For complex situations, we will keep you informed of our progress.
No Retaliation
You will never be penalised for making a report in good faith. We encourage our community to speak up when something is wrong. If you believe someone is retaliating against you for making a report, let us know immediately.
In Case of Emergency
If you are in immediate danger or believe someone's life is at risk, contact your local emergency services first.
- • Netherlands: 112
- • United Kingdom: 999
- • United States: 911
- • EU emergency number: 112
After contacting emergency services, please also report the situation to us so we can take action on our platform.
Together, we keep Equal Love safe. Thank you for looking out for our community.
